EXTERNAL QUALITY ASSESSMENT
Dear Customer,
We thank you and we welcome you to our External Evaluation of Quality website for hematology and flow cytometry. We purpose 5 EQA programs:
EQA CD34+: The CD34+ EQA is an External Quality Assessment program which allows to control for antibodies CD34+ staining, RBC lysis by flow cytometry instrument. 2 shipments a year with 2 samples with different concentrations.
EQA RBC F: The RBC F EQA is an External Quality Assessment program which allows to control methods for detection of fetal red blood cells containing Hb F or Rho (D antigen) for the research of fetomaternal hemorrhage (Kleihauer, Cytometry). 2 shipments a year with 2 samples.
EQA URINE CELLS: the Urine Cells EQA is an External Quality Assessment program which allows to control the exactitude of bacteriology instruments from manufacturers Coulter IRIS IQ200, MENARINI Sedimax, I2A Urised, and SYSMEX UF series which measure quantitatively hematuria and leucocyturia. 2 shipments a year with 3 samples.
EQA BODY FLUID CELLS: the Body Fluid Cells EQA is an External Quality Assessment program which allows to control the exactitude of hematology analyzers from manufacturers Beckman-Coulter and Sysmex which measure quantitatively Red Blood Cells and White Blood Cells in body fluids. 2 shipments a year with 2 samples.
EQA NRBC CELLS: the NRBC Cells EQA is an External Quality Assessment program which allows to control the exactitude of hematology instruments from SYSMEX and MINDRAY manufacturers, which measure quantitatively the erythroblasts in the whole blood.2 shipments a year with 3 samples.
These programs have been developed:
- To compare your performance with the performance of all laboratories participating,
- To allow different labs to compare performance and results,
- To analyze problems related to your process, your technical methods or reagents used in the laboratory,
- To indicate the areas in which improvement is necessary,
- To be more rigorous and serious and to provide proof of the quality of analyzes during an inspection from authorities.
